Personal Statement:
As a composition and rhetoric specialist, I firmly believe that writing is a process that can be learned. Furthermore, good writing is a matter of the choices we make as writers; hence, I demand that students work hard at making these choices to improve their writing. As an advocate of critical thinking, who believes students do not use it enough, I constantly challenge students in their thinking.
