Personal Statement:
My dissertation provides a snapshot examination of the rhetoric of four Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (Generals Bradley, Wheeler, Brown and Powell). I have held teaching positions at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma and the US Army Academy of Health Sciences at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Prior to joining the Department of Language and Communication, I was the Professor of Military Science at Northwestern State University. I teach Fundamentals of Speech, Voice and Diction, Oral Interpretation, Advanced Public Speaking, Group Dynamics, Rhetorical Analysis, Rhetorical Theory, Business, Educational and Professional Speaking.
