Personal Statement:
I like to think of English as “fun.” I take modern ideas, movies and popular culture and show the students how those concepts relate to older concepts, bridging the gaps between the literature we study and the lives we live. My main research interests are those dealing with popular culture, all things gothic, folklore and modern romance novels. I am completing my doctorate at University of Louisiana at Lafayette in English with a Folklore Emphasis.

I am the author of over twenty-four novels, novellas and short stories. My main area of publication is erotic romance, paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I write under a pseudonym.
